That’s me — with "Butts."

Some years later, as scientist (ocean acoustics), engineer (sonar systems), computer programmer (various languages; a variety of "mainframes"), and documentation engineer, from 1964 until the closing days of 2000, I did a lot of writing before my retirement.  It was technical writing, and it was what is called "writing for hire," where somebody asks you to write something — and, in return for a paycheck, you write it.  My "point" is that I wrote much — but very little of my own choosing.

My formal preparation led to a high school diploma, several Navy school (sonar) diplomas, then three college degrees (associate, bachelor, master) with numerous "short courses" including courses on Signal Processing and on Information Theory — which turned out to utilize some pretty exotic mathematics.  They were, for me, very difficult courses.  Along the way, also, I studied Latin (in high school), some Spanish and some French (one year of each), with a "sprinkling" (one unfinished semester) of Russian.

I say all of that just to tell you this.  By 1974 I had a high school diploma, plus college degrees, a "hitch" in the military, and years as a working professional — and I had learned basically "ZILCH" [almost nothing] about the content of the Holy Bible; the teachings from our Creator God.  For me, the "educational system" was a BIG FLOP.

There finally came a day when (1) I realized that that was so, followed by another day (2) when I began to wonder WHY it was so.  Much of my writing, ever since, is and has been (3) shaped by what I have "discovered."  Here is what I have discovered.

While chanting the words "Separation of Church and State," words that appear nowhere in the United States Constitution, nor anywhere else in our national laws or foundational documents, and using those "separation" words almost as a witch-like incantation or "magic spell," ENEMIES OF CHRIST JESUS have transformed this nation into a mostly ANTI-Christian nation, government and society.  They have transformed the legislatures, courts, and classrooms.  Meanwhile, most of us Americans, immersed in our jobs and professions, distracted by our entertainments, wearied by most of the politicians, and put-almost-to-sleep by so many of the preachers, we just "soldier" on.

By deception, by deceit, by trickery, by treachery, by treason, by attempted torture and actual torment, the "semi-invisible" [but allegedly "sincere" — motivated and highly-ambitious] ENEMIES of Christ Jesus ("You will know them by their works!") make personal salvation ever-more difficult and make national salvation nearly IMPOSSIBLE.

This is being composed in early September of 2010.  It will soon be time to vote.  Keep present "leaders" or select "new" ones?  Elect more of God’s friends?  Or more of God’s enemies?  That is a question (one of them) that I want you to think about!
